29 Sodium-Filled Tweets Taking MrBeast's New Lunchable to Task
On Monday, three of the biggest YouTubers and influencers in the world, MrBeast, Logan Paul, and KSI, announced they are launching a Lunchables competitor, called Lunchly.
If you're unfamiliar, Lunchables is a kids' snack box of cheese, crackers, deli meat, and of course a Capris Sun. On the surface, Lunchly sounds pretty similar, except instead of those classics it includes a MrBeast Feastables chocolate bar, and Logan Paul and KSI's Prime sports drink. Lunchly also advertises fewer calories and more electrolytes than Lunchables. But are those good things?
DanTDM, a well-known Minecraft YouTuber, certainly didn't think so and slammed the trio in a viral Tweet. saying: "This is selling stuff for the sake of making money, simple. This is selling crap to kids who don't know better than to trust the people who are selling it to them. Do better."
All three influencers responded, but the internet fiercely sided with DanTDM.
A sports medicine doctor named Brian Sutterer also took issue with Lunchly's electrolytes claim.
"Sodium getting rebranded as 'electrolytes' will be taught in marketing
textbooks one day."
That tweet launched its own beef with Logan Paul, who staunchly defended Lunchly and Prime while getting harshly community noted in the process.
It's worth noting that both the classic Luchables and Paul's Prime energy drink have faced lawsuits regarding unsafe levels of lead. Maybe we should steer clear of both.
